We accept students from Erasmus+ partner European Institutions for studies or training periods. Incoming students must bring a Personal Accident insurance and comply with ESAC regulations.

Teaching language
The official teaching language is Portuguese. However, most professors will teach in English whenever foreign students are present OR will provide bibliography in English. In some cases, however, classes may be offered only in Portuguese.
Portuguese course
We offer incoming students the opportunity to attend a Portuguese course, which may be included in the Learning Agreement:
• Course Portuguese as a foreign language I (30 contact hours, 6 ECTS). Offered in both semesters (syllabus).
• Course Portuguese as a foreign language II (30 contact hours, 6 ECTS). Offered in the Spring semester to students staying a complete academic year (syllabus)
Accomodation
We do not have available rooms at the student residences, but you may find information on available accommodation on BeCoimbra, on Erasmus Student Network Coimbra and on the Student Association of ESAC

How to get here
You may get to Coimbra coming from Lisbon or Porto, either by bus or train. In Coimbra, take bus 14 or 22 from the Astória Hotel in Portagem, downtown.
