Forest Resources Sustainable Management (FRSM): The objectives of the group are the contribution for the general goals of the Unit in the field of the Forest Resources, and the building of a team spirit among the members. Sustainable development of rural areas has to take into account the sustainable management of the forest resources, and the creation of knowledge in this wide field needs multidisciplinary and integrated approaches. To build efficient science and technological transfer systems, and create strong links to end-users allowing bottom-up relations are also main concerns of the group.

The preparation and submission (and approval, of course) of projects having these factors into account - creation of knowledge, technology transfer and links to end-users – are the group´s main target.
